October 2016 Blog Income Report – $2,077.79

How is it November already? Where did this year go? How do I have an almost 8-month old and almost 3-month old??

Getting right to it. Work has really been crazy the past month, forcing me to work into the evenings some nights which has limited the time I can spend on my blogs. None the less, I am still proud of what I’ve accomplished this past month. Let’s get to it.

Blog Income Report - See exactly how I made $2,077.79 from my blogs in October, WHILE working a full time job and juggling two kids! You can do it!

This page contains affiliate links. Read my full disclosure.

Remember, if you haven’t started yet you don’t need to be intimidated. I have a free tutorial all about how to start a blog to help you.

These reports count income earned during the month, but not necessarily paid out within that month. With many affiliate programs there is a delay between earning a commission and actual payment to affiliates.

Ok – lets dive in!

If you are stumped on how to grow you blog, I HIGHLY suggest taking Abby’s ‘Building a Framework‘ course. I did a post here that explains how I think it helped us triple our page views, but it covers all of the major social channels along with general best practices. I would say it’s good for beginner and intermediate bloggers.

Here are some of my notes and big takeaways for the month:

  • I made my first BIG blog investment – I purchased Launch Your Signature Course (over $1,300!).
  • I paid for a year of Tailwind for She’s Ambitious the way I did for Productive and Pretty to save money annually.
  • I need to slow down with purchasing blog courses and themes. Oops!
  • The bullets above combined explain why I spent more than I earned on the second site this month. 🙂
  • I still need to go through posts on Productive and Pretty and better optimize them for affiliate marketing (I am LOVING everything I’ve learned from Michelle’s course on the subject).
  • Traffic has been declining for P&P – I need to spend more time looking into this and figure out what is going on.

  • Jennifer!

That’s awesome. I manage several blogs also but haven’t monetized all of them. Wow, an 8month and 3month year old! I have twins who are 3.5 and it’s insane. They are dropping their day nap and most days they don’t nap (fortunately today they are napping!).

I’m learning to embrace my mornings and try to get some blogging and client work done before the kids wake up. Great progress! Love reading other income and traffic reports.

  • I’m impressed with both of you! Mine are 2 and 3… and I’m proud if all of us. Work, blogs, family. It’s a lot but I wouldn’t trade it.

Thanks for the details and some links to courses. I’m brand new to blogging and I’m trying to learn from others quickly.
