How beautiful did my writing come out for this February header?

What about this weekly spread?
Well I have a confession to make.. I made it on my computer! (gasp)
I’m envious of all of you with beautiful calligraphy handlettering, and I’m putting in the time to practice my handwriting to get mine there. I know we are supposed to stride for progress over perfection, but I yearned for the beautiful pages I see so many of you sharing on a day-to-day basis.
When I came up with this hack, I didn’t have a Cricut or Silhouette machine, so I thought making my own stickers was out of the question. I realized I did, however, have a nice font collection, some clear address labels and a printer.
Using Avery Clear Easy Peel Address Labels (8660) I typed out the dates, centered, picked my font, and printed. Because they are clear, cutting was not too big of a pain.
The labels are matte, so it’s really not obvious in your book that it’s a sticker, and so far I’ve had no problems with smudging. What I do have though, is a big smile every time I open my bujo to these beautiful pages.
I created a free download that you can use for February, which has all the dates printed in the same font you see in the photos above. You can grab the Avery 8660 labels, or just clear full page shipping labels
(or whatever you can get your hands on for the least amount of money) and cut.
What hacks have worked for you?
ps.. if you actually want to improve your handwriting, we highly recommend these amazing lettering courses over at Britt + Co.

Love these! What is the font called?
Potential Error: On the printable it looks like suhday with an “h.”
Thanks, I’ll check out the printable! The font is “master of breaks” 🙂
Fixed it! Thank you for catching that.
So, BUJOs are supposed to be beautiful, as well as functional and helpful? I’m sunk. 🙁
Not at all! The best BuJo is the one that works for you! We just know a lot of people love to decorate them so this was a hack for those without the fancy handwriting or time to spend on it.
This is genius, totally going to do this!
What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing that!
Glad it was helpful!
I did all my habit tracker, weekly planner, and monthly spread in the computer. I like doodling and calligraphy so the journal part and the day planners are handwritten. It’s nice to also practice my handwriting.
Hi Jennifer, I signed up to receive you newsletter and confirmed my registration last night. I was trying to access your resource area but it is asking for a password. Is this something that was sent to me and I missed it? Please let me know how I can access. Thanks so much. Robin
Sorry about that! We added a plugin that may be causing a delay in the emails. If you still haven’t gotten it, please email me and I’ll send it to you directly. Again, I apologize!
Brilliant!!
I love this. I’m gonna have to do this because I’m horrible at fancy lettering. But the internet is full of awesome fonts that I could print out. Thanks!
Thanks, Rayne! You can always trust the internet for boundless inspiration 🙂 Make sure to check out our post on free fonts, too!
Hi, I downloaded it, but when it opens, it’s all messed up. What program should I use to open it? I have Windows/Microsoft Office Word 2007
It should be a PDF – hit reply to the email if you continue to have problems with the file.
My handwriting is pretty good (I went on a calligraphy kick when I was about 13yo. and the lessons I’ve learned from it have stuck over *cough* 30 years *cough* later) but I can’t draw all that well so I use stamps whenever I feel like my page needs a little something extra. Sometimes I’ll leave them in black and white, but other times I’ll color them in, depending on my mood.
my handwriting is eh…i’m so used to typing that i find my fingers are too stiff to hold a pen? lol~ but i’m like u, i want to look at a pretty notebook with pretty pages. this is why i haven’t gotten into bullet journaling yet. i’m looking for hacks so i can prep myself to jump the gun. i know that bullet journaling is supposed to be easy and more like a freestyle thing, but it just doesn’t come that easy for me. i’m not artistic at all. i’m really glad i found your site. and i love your hack! i figured, if i get lazy, i’ll just buy those darn stickers from etsy, there’s so much to choose from there, lol~
thanks you sharing your passion with us!
This is absolutely awesome! I would have never thought about this! This will be amazing for those really odd fonts you like, but can’t do yourself. Or you’re just feeling super lazy. xD I think this would be super cute to also print off emoji’s and use them that way as well. If one is into that sort of thing. I am actually planning my bullet journaling (have the journals) but now need the writing tools and other things I want to use to make mine “mine”. Thanks for sharing this, it’s brilliant!
My handwriting is pretty nice but specific fonts we want to use sometimes not always easy to repeat without hrs of training… Also being a doctor make me to stay in some places when even normal post not available not only Internet. So, my hack is type in word desire words by specific font and trace it out by pencil on the paper direct from the screen. And you have double win – beautiful headers in bujo and practice by overwriting text with pen. ??
I just found this on Pinterest, thanks great idea. However, I have Master of Break font and it looks very different (and not as nice) as yours. Could you tell me where you got it?
Sure try https://www.dafont.com/master-of-break-old1.font
