If you’re anything like me, writer’s block (or artists block!) can often become my downfall when trying to keep up with my bullet journal consistency. Sometimes I get bored with my weekly layout. Sometimes I hate my regular old handwriting. Sometimes I just can’t get the right color scheme down. When I’m feeling a bullet journal creativity blockage coming on, I instantly jump on over to Instagram to get myself inspired again. Here are some of my absolute favorite fellow bujo lovers that amaze me on the regular. Check them out!
Ryder Caroll | @bulletjournal
Ryder is the original bullet journaler! Besides his own journal, Ryder usually features other good bujo accounts. So whether you’re new to the bujo world and want to start off learning from the real deal, or whether you’re looking for inspiration that the pro’s find to be top-notch, checking out Ryder’s account is a good jumping off point.
Whitney | @lifebywhitney
Brush lettering, pops of color, unique layouts to try… Whitney’s got something for everyone. I love her bright, cheerful spreads and her ability to pack so much useful information on one page of her journal.
Rachel | @planningmindfully
I love how Rachel’s journal has such a strong emphasis on self-care and goal setting. She’s got great ideas for mood trackers, developing your goals, and other things that make your life as positive and productive as it can possibly be.
Shelby | @little_coffee_fox
Talk about gorgeous watercolors… Shelby is an artist to say the least. I love how she so beautifully incorporates watercolors into her spreads. Definitely check her out if you’ve been wanting to try this technique in your journal!
Sandy | @abulletandsomeline
There is something so satisfying about a clean, precise layout. Sandy is the queen of geometrically pleasing layouts. She doesn’t get distracted by fancy color schemes or cutesy doodles. Break out your rulers and try…just try to be as neat as she is!
Nicole | @bujo_blossoms
Doodle dreams, am I right?! Nicole has some of the most adorable doodles in her bujo. She’s got holiday themed doodles, seasonal icons, and just tons of the cutest drawings I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking to add some adorable to your planner, she’s definitely worth a follow.
One of my personal favorites for all things planner/bujo inspiration. She features new and unique journalers, so there’s a constant flow of creativity and unique things to try out for yourself! I go there for fresh ideas and new people to follow for further inspiration.
Bree | @breeeberry
Bree has some of the cutest layouts and the neatest handwriting that I’ve ever seen. Check out some of her ideas on how to spice up your headers with banners and buntings. She’s also got her own etsy shop to sell her stickers!
Kara | @boho.berry
Kara has some awesome stuff and she has killer handwriting, what’s not to love? I especially love her colorful mandalas… such a peaceful way to wind yourself down while also adding beauty to your journal. She’s also got some great monthly challenges for you to try out so you can practice your bujo skills!
Jessica | @prettyprintsandpaper
Do you find yourself insanely jealous of the people who can manage to make brush lettering look like it’s the easiest thing ever? Well, Jessica is one of those people. Her lettering is absolutely gorgeous and she’s one of the reasons I started putting in some more time into practicing my own hand lettering. (Check out our free practice sheets here!)
Kim | @tinyrayofsunshine
Kim has been bujo’ing for quite some time and has the Instagram to prove it! She has the perfect combo of true bullet journal style while still adding in some “new” stuff.
Cristina | @my.life.in.a.bullet
Cristina has one of the neatest journals I’ve ever seen. I absolutely adore her monthly cover pages, they give her journal a gorgeous kick-start to each new month. You can also digitally flip through her journal on her site – how awesome is that?!
If you’re one of the more “au natural” bujo-ers out there, this is definitely an account worth following. These spreads are clean, beautiful, and to the point. All while not inundating your journal with thousands of different prints of washi-tape.
Roz | @rozmakesplans
Roz’s highlights most of her pages with paint and awe-inspiring straight lines. Her spreads are minimalistic with pops of color. She’s got great monthly spreads, adorable doodles, and swoon-worthy color schemes.
Ashlyn | @bluenittany
Ashlyn is a student who often documents her weekly overviews as well as delving out the occasional flip through video. She uses bubbly handwriting and creates different color schemes and indexes for every month!
Michelle Le | @yunchelle
Michelle’s bullet journal has some of the cutest little sketches. Her posts are so crisp and precise, it could make any planner envious!
Federica | @feebujo
Love flowers and intricate calligraphy? Take a peek at Federica’s account. Almost all of her posts include pretty little flower details that will inspire you to doodle more often.
Cindy | @plananotherday
Cindy is all about perfectly placed embellishments. Each of her pages is clean and concise, but with a gorgeous sketch or drawing to give it a small pop of beauty. She’s another bullet journalist with minimalistic touches that you should follow.
Emma Bryce | @that_journal
Emma’s Instagram is the best place for header inspiration. She combines lovely fonts with the most suitable doodles. I love how her journal so accurately documents her day to day activities. It’s a great way to keep track of everything you’ve done and a great way to add some cute into your daily life!
Natascha | @planningroutine
Natascha has some really great ideas on different spreads for her bujo. From her gorgeous monthlies, to book review pages, to stress relieving mandala coloring pages, Natascha’s spreads are definitely swoon-worthy and have given me the inspiration to up my creativity game in my own journal!
