If you are trying to figure out how to setup your bullet journal for the month, then you are in for a treat! I’m going to help you setup your journal and get yourself ready to finish this month on a seriously productive boss level!
I can’t believe July has come and gone before I got a chance to share this with you. None the less, I wanted to walk you through how I set up my bullet journal for the month using July as an example.

Here’s are some of the materials I used for this monthly spread. I’m using a beautiful Fauxdori and instead of using Inserts from a particular shop, I decided to use my Leuchtturm 1917. My Fauxdori holds it in perfectly, so I don’t have to buy any inserts just yet.
My Leuchtturm 1917 is a dot grid in the color Pink. I love pink so much! Maybe because I have more daughters than sons.
My Pen of choice is a Micron Pen 02. I find it to be an awesome balance between 005 and 01.
For coloring and decorating my bullet journal layouts – because hey, not only do I want my bujo to increase me in productivity but I need it to be pretty too. Hmmm…, dare I say productive & pretty?! Yes, please.
TIP: If you are looking to decorate but you find it to be on the tad bit expensive side, I really suggest you take a look at the Crayola Supertips. These markers come in 100 colors and are less than $15.00. I use them a lot more than I use my Tombows.
Ok, so now that we got the staples down for the month, let’s take a look at all the layouts. These are the pages I have so far:
Month at a glance
July Goals / To read
Weekly Home keeping List (inspired by Martha Stewart)
Blog Post/Goals layout and a Blog Brain dump section.
I realized while writing this I’m going to be adding an expense tracker because I just realized I’m so needing to see where my money is going.
I’m add a food log and mood tracker to my weekly layout so there will be no separate page for them.
