OOPS! Here I am, so far past the beginning of the month sharing my setup. This pictures sat on my desktop forgotten about longer than I care to admit. None the less – I still wanted to share!

I feel like I’ve been pretty consistent with how I use my journal the past few months. I don’t know if that is good or bad, but I’m sticking with what works! However, there were some changes this past month.
One of the biggest changes this month was a change in tool; I started using colored pencils in my journal. The result? I LOVE IT. I feel like I’ve connected with real coloring all over again. I’m using this Staedtler set I grabbed on Amazon. I love these because they are so smooth, come with 24 colors, and are under $20. If you are on a budget though, I bet a pack of good old’ Crayola’s would still feel pretty great.
Before I dove into creating for September, I spent some time reflecting on August. The hardest part of this was actually deciding what to capture here, because there are so many ways you can go with this.
Ultimately, I decided to keep it simple and just capture the wins, what went well, what I learned, and what I will change going forward. Really happy with how this came out and I will do it again.
Next I put together my September monthly. I’ve been using calendar style for some time now, and this seems to work for me. If you are looking for ideas, we did a whole post on bullet journal monthly spreads.
Lastly, I used this gratitude log style again (repeat from August, inspired by Christina77Star). I am absolutely obsessed with this and will continue to use month over month.
That is it for my standard spreads.. the rest now will consist of dailies/weeklies, or spreads that come up as needed.
